Four lovely days in Vienna, well it was supposed to be but for easyjet cancelling our flight last minute for no apparent reason. So four days was cut to three, but that is the last you will hear of that as we had a great time all the same. I went with a Elly, Sam and Olivia to visit our friend Lucie who is currently on a work placement over there.

It was bloody freezing with snow on the ground, but unlike in the UK the Austrians just got on with things and everything ran smoothly after the hiccups from the beginning of the trip.

From a photography point of view the conditions weren’t ideal, with poor visibility and grey skies, so I didn’t really go near any landscape work, plus I didn’t want to bore my friends. So on went the fifty for most of the trip and it was great fun! Cue the funny poses…

Vienna is an awesome city and part of me wishes the conditions were better so I could do it justice, saying that though, I had loads of fun just messing around with my mates and grabbing some nice shots to remember the trip by. After three days of sight seeing by day (including a trip to the Annie Leibovitz exhibition which I will be blogging about soon) and drinking by night I am absolutely shattered, wish I was still there but back to reality with work and university.

Dan it’s only me. Hope you are well and had a good Christmas and New Year. Can you do me a favour and put the picture of Elly popping her head around the tree somewhere I can get a copy of it, or e-mail me a copy. I love it.
Thanks.
Nice pics sonnyboy, glad we’ve found a way to see your exploits. Your mother says she is stil waiting for the Silver Wedding Anniversary photo you promised in November !!
Looks like you guys had a great time. Loving the shot hiding behind the trees. Cheesy but brilliant.

Awesome photos Dan, can’t wait for the rest of them!
[...] The weather was somewhat bracing and provided a good excuse to stop off at numerous bars, cafés (for hot chocolate mit schlag) and even the oddly-floored Kunst Haus Wien, the latter of which had a fantastic Annie Leibovitz exhibition on. And on the subject of photography, Dan took some amazing photos of the trip which he put up on his blog. [...]
